Scott will visit the Yoga Spot in Aberdeen for the third time this year. Take this opportunity to deepen and advance your Ashtanga practice in an intimate setting.

Wednesday 7th November – Sunday 11th November 2018
Ashtanga Mysore-Style classes
5 days of Ashtanga Mysore-style classes. Although these classes are open to all levels, knowledge of the Ashtanga sequence is required. Choose either a 6.00 am or 7.30 am start time.

There will also be 2 workshops with Scott:

Friday 9th November 2018, 5.45 – 7.45pm
‘When I see the World I see my mind – yoga, mindfulness and life’
We will bring together deeper aspects of yoga practice, blending the philosophical with the physical, and offer an opportunity to open up to ‘the what’ which prompted you to start doing yoga. Using breathing (pranayama) and mindfulness techniques we will share how yoga practice can wake us up to the moment-to-moment awareness described in classic texts and scriptures. Importantly, we will discuss how the state of yoga is nowhere other than ‘here and now’ and is not as elusive as sometimes we imagine it to be.

Saturday 10th November 2018 1.30 – 4.00pm
‘Gentle Strength – balancing effort with effortlessness’
We will look at movement and stillness, merging aspects of specific asanas to see how bandha (mindful strength) is created through focus and direction. Connecting through postures we know and connect to we will see how asanas are about an internal felt sense, a constant feedback loop of direct physical sensation. Then we will notice how vinyasa practice is a fluid relationship between these integrated parts.

Cost for the 5 days of Mysore (alone) – £145.00
Friday 9th November workshop – £35.00
Saturday 10th November workshop – £40.00
5 Days of Mysore and both workshops – £200.00
