The Yoga Spot is a unique, friendly and intimate studio conveniently located in the heart of Aberdeen’s west end.
The warm, bright studio is calm and tranquil, where you will feel at home the moment you walk through the door.
We offer a range of yoga classes and workshops suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Our class styles
Ashtanga Half Primary Led
This class is led at a flowing, counted pace, taking the student up to Navasana within the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga.
Time permitting, the full finishing sequence will also be taught. Knowledge of the Ashtanga sequence is required to attend this class.
Knowledge of the Ashtanga sequence is required to attend the Mysore classes. This is a self-practice class where students work at their own pace. A teacher instructs each student one-to-one helping them to develop their own personalised practice.
It is in a self-practice class where students may eventually progress beyond Primary Series of the Ashtanga sequence.
These classes are great for all levels where each class will focus on different asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation.
For those up for a fun and challenging class. These classes are always a little different; a creative mix of traditional yoga poses linked together by vinyasa. You will build stability, strength and stamina as we introduce balance poses, inversions, and back bends.
Specifically for mums-to-be with no previous yoga experience necessary.
Although these classes are designed for pregnancy, we recommend waiting until after your first trimester before joining.
Yin & Meditation
For all levels. Passive asanas held for longer periods of time, often up to a few minutes, allowing time to work deeper into the fascia and connective tissues with a therapeutic approach.
Yoga for Beginners
The perfect class for those brand new to yoga or perhaps returning to yoga after a long break. Classes are arranged as courses in 6-week blocks. Go to Workshops for more info and booking.
What you need to know...
The Yoga Spot is at 2 Queens Lane North. There is no parking on this street, however, we're close to Fountainhall Road where there is on-street parking. Please check the signs for parking restrictions, as there are some Pay & Display bays from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays around the area.
If it is your first visit to The Yoga Spot please arrive 10-15 minutes before the class starts, so you can have a chat with the teacher and settle in.
The door may be locked if there is a class already taking place. Please aim to turn up no more than 15 minutes before your class start time, as this may disturb the class already running.
You'll be asked to remove your shoes when you come in – there are shoe racks in the hallway. The whole of the studio space is a no-shoe area, as we practise yoga barefoot and would like to protect and keep our floors clean.
There are changing facilities. Please leave all coats, jackets, bags, etc. in the changing facilities. If you don’t feel comfortable leaving valuables there are small shelves in the studio where you can leave them. Please turn off mobile phones, especially if you are putting them on a shelf in the studio.
We strongly recommend that you bring your own yoga mat, however, mats are available for use in the studio for a small rental charge of £1 per use. We also sell some mats.

I have suffered from lower back pain and morning stiffness for many years. I had tried yoga on and off at different studios but just under 2 years ago I walked into the Yoga Spot and never looked back! I started with Michele's Ashtanga style Power yoga classes and love them. As my practice has grown I have attended other classes, there is so much choice. Michele is so supportive and has given me encouragement, strength and confidence which I can take off the mat and into daily life. And the back pain - it's gone!
